There are a few reasons why you may wish to power your View by USB-C instead of batteries. Some of these reasons include :

Saving batteries by using an outlet to power the device.

Enabling the <a href="https://help.airthings.com/en/articles/5576471-view-hub-functionality">Hub mode </a>of the View.

Increase <a href="https://help.airthings.com/en/articles/5376553-view-how-to-change-the-sampling-rate-of-the-pm-sensor-to-improve-battery-life">PM sampling to every 2.5 minutes.</a>

In order to connect the USB-C cable to your View device, please perform the following steps :

Turn your View Plus around and remove the back plate by lifting up at the bottom of the back plate.

1. Turn your View Plus around and remove the back plate by lifting up at the bottom of the back plate.

2. Once the back plate is removed, please insert the provided USB-C cable into the socket between the top two batteries.

3. If the cable is successfully connected, you will see the screen of your View display "Hub Mode ON."
