Battery life and lifespan of Wave Series and View Series.

Updated over a week ago

Unless operated unconventionally, our Airthings Wave series and View series have an expected lifetime of many years, just like a normal smoke or carbon monoxide detector.

Our conventional operating parameters are a temperature of 4 °C (39 °F) to 40 °C (104 °F) , and a 85% relative humidity or below for monitors with radon sensors.

The Corentium Home comes with 3x AAA batteries and is expected to have a battery life of approx. 1.5 - 2 years.

Wave Radon and Wave Plus come with 2x AA batteries and they are designed to have an expected battery life of approx. 1 year.

The Wave Mini comes with 3x AA batteries and they typically have a lifetime of approx. 2-3 years.

The View Plus, Pollution, and Radon come with 6x AA batteries. They typically have a battery lifetime of approx. 8 months to a year. The battery life can be increased to approx. 2 years by enabling 'low power mode' in the dashboard.

Please note that all battery life estimates are based on standard alkaline AA batteries.

If monitors are Hub-connected and therefore using SmartLink instead of Bluetooth connectivity, they will have an extended battery lifetime, as SmartLink uses less power than Bluetooth.

For View series, to note, the hub USB power plug-in does not charge the monitor.
