If you have multiple Airthings monitors in multiple homes, such as a rental property, you can now visually separate the locations of your monitors in the app.
Example use case #1: I have my main house and a separate guest house on my property that I am renting out. I don't always want to see the guest house's monitors while looking at my main home's indoor air quality.
Example use case #2: I loaned out my monitor to a friend or family member, and they want to use my account for logging in. I want to separate their home and my home while they borrow my extra monitor.
IMPORTANT
You should not create a new "home" for each room in your house. To change a monitor's location and name to a specific room in your house, please follow the guide here.
How to create a new home
Step 1: Adding a new home
Tap Devices at the bottom of the screen
Select the drop-down where your current home name is
Select "Add new home +" and insert name and location of new home
How to move a monitor from one home to another
IMPORTANT
When changing homes it is recommended to start a new measuring segment. By following the steps in this article, your current measurement will end in your app and a new measurement segment will start.
You will not see your past measurements in the app but, your past measurements are always available and accessible on your Web Dashboard here.
Step 1: Unpair your monitor
Tap Settings in the bottom of the screen, select Devices, then tap on your monitor name
In your device settings, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Unpair
Step 2: Re-add your monitor
Wait one minute, then select the plus sign (+) in the top of the screen
Select Add Device and follow the onboarding process
In the onboarding process, you can rename your device to your new location such as: Bedroom, Bathroom, Living Room, or Basement
Tap on the "Home Name" section pencil icon, and move the monitor to a different home
Step 3: Wait 30 days
You should measure in one location for at least 30 days for a reliable long-term average. The longer you measure, the more accurate the reflection of your environment.
To view the past measurements for your previous segment, this will be available to view in the online dashboard.
