So you just purchased your new Airthings Renew and are ready to purify the air around you! But wait, why is it giving off a strange smell?
This is completely normal.
Similar to how mattresses and other household appliances have to go through an off-gassing period, the best air purifiers also need to take a moment to off-gas. Do not worry, this will subside in a few days.
If the smell is bothersome initially, we recommend using the product in an isolated room at first to allow it to off-gas.
