Electronic products must be certified for use in specific regions or countries to ensure they comply with a country's safety and wireless communication protocol standards. Airthings and authorized Airthings sellers only sell and ship to supported regions.

So where are Airthings consumer products certified for use?

United States - FCC mark

Airthings products are certified with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) mark for use in the United States which ensures Airthings has followed the requirements of the Supplier's Declaration of Conformity authorization procedures.

EEA, Switzerland and United Kingdom - CE mark

Airthings products have the CE marking and are approved for sale and use in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and in the United Kingdom. It ensures that products sold in the EEA have been assessed to meet high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. CE stands for "conformité européenne" which means "European conformity" in French.

Canada - ISED mark

Airthings products are approved for sale and use in Canada by the ISED (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada). Read more here about ISED approval.

Asia-Pacific region

Some, but not all, Airthings consumer products are currently approved for sale and use in these countries in the Asia-pacific region:

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

  • India

  • Singapore

  • South Korea

  • Hong Kong

Some Airthings products are not certified in these countries because we did not seek to sell a particular product in this region.

If you'd like to enquire about the specific Airthings products approved for use in one of the countries above or about the country-specific certification, please reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help you further.
