Updating your bluetooth monitor firmware version via the Airthings app.

The following applies to monitors that operate via Bluetooth and are not Hub-connected only. Hub-connected users will always have the latest firmware on their monitors as this is updated automatically.

To update the firmware on your Wave monitor when a new firmware update is available, follow the instructions below:

  1. Before starting, ensure your phone has a stable WiFi connection and that your phone's Bluetooth is enabled

  2. Ensure you are within Bluetooth range of your monitor for the duration of the update.

  3. Open the Airthings app and go to the Devices tab on the left bottom of the screen

  4. Under your monitor that needs a firmware update, select the hint bar underneath the device.

  5. Select Update Device to complete the firmware update.

If an update is available, it will take around 5-7 minutes to install. To ensure a smooth installation make sure you do the following:

  • Stay close to your Wave monitor during the update process

  • Keep the Airthings App open

Immediately following the firmware update, your monitor may undergo a few days of calibration, depending on the update.
