Wave: how to update the firmware
Updated over a week ago

The following applies to monitors that operate via Bluetooth and are not Hub-connected only. Hub-connected users will always have the latest firmware on their monitors as this is updated automatically.

To update the firmware on your Wave monitor when a new firmware update is available, follow the instructions below:

  1. Before starting, ensure your phone has a stable WiFi connection and that your phone's Bluetooth is enabled

  2. Make sure you are within Bluetooth range of your monitor for the duration of the update

  3. Open the Airthings Wave app and select your monitor on the Home screen

  4. Select the settings button in the top right corner of the monitor screen (this button can appear as a settings icon or an icon representing the current connectivity status)

  5. Select Device Settings from the menu

  6. Select Update Device

If an update is available it will take around 5-7 minutes to install. To ensure a smooth installation make sure you do the following:

  • Stay close to your Wave during the update process

  • Keep the Airthings Wave App open

Immediately following the firmware update, your monitor may undergo a few days of calibration, depending on the update.
