Pro App: Company vs. Professional Certifications

What is the difference between company certifications and professional certifications?

Updated over 3 years ago

The new Corentium Pro software system allows you to enter in licenses or certifications for both the company, as well as each professional. You can enter in as many licenses or certifications that you or your company have.

If your radon testing company consists of only one employee, certifications are typically entered in under the user profile, rather than the company profile. Unless the company also has a separate license or certification which is issued to the organization rather than the employee of the company.

Some jurisdictions require that licenses or certifications are issued to BOTH the employees of the company, as well as the company itself. For example, a certification from NRPP or NRSB is a professional certification which is issued to an employee, and should be entered in for that employee only, rather than for the company. If your company is required to have a separate business license, you can enter this license in under the company profile. A license or certification should be entered in one location only, and should not be entered in both the company profile and a user profile.

Company Certifications:

Company certifications can be entered while creating your company for the first time in the Online Dashboard. Licenses or certifications can also be added or removed at a later time by clicking on the company profile icon in the Online Dashboard. These licenses or certifications are for those issued to the company only, and this is not where you enter in professional licenses or certifications.

Professional Certifications:

Professional certifications can be entered in while creating a user. They can also be added or removed at a later time by clicking on the user management icon in the Online Dashboard. These licenses or certifications are for those issued to individuals only, and this is not where you enter in company licenses or certifications.
