Having trouble with syncing your Wave device to the new app? The steps below can assist with troubleshooting steps!

Updated over 7 months ago

If you are an Android customer and have been previously Bluetooth syncing your monitor successfully with the older Airthings Wave/Wave Gen 1 app but the sync is failing with the new Airthings app, this may be due to the connectivity settings of your monitor. To fix this issue, please do the following steps in the new Airthings app:

  1. Please go to your monitor's Device settings and reset the connectivity for your device:

    1. Go to "Settings"

    2. Select "Devices"

    3. Select your monitor that is experiencing the syncing issues

  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select the "Reset connectivity" button (this will not affect your sensor history or cause a new measurement to start - it will just reset your monitor's connectivity mode to Bluetooth). You may be prompted to take out and reinsert the batteries.

  3. Wait more than 1 hour, and then try to sync again. You may have to sync twice in order to see information in the graphs, and then everything should be up and running!

⚠️ If you follow the steps above and this still doesn't work, please let us know by sending us an email to support@airthings.com or clicking the Intercom button in the bottom right-hand corner.

You can use the old Wave Gen 1/Airthings Wave app if the issue persists after you have followed these troubleshooting steps.

We are continuously trying to improve our app and products, if your issue persists please contact us at support@airthings.com and we will get to your query as soon as possible.
