If you performed a factory reset on your View monitor (by holding the reset button at the back of the monitor for 5-6 seconds) you will need to carry out a few steps in the app to get back up and running!
Factory resets are particularly useful when troubleshooting issues such as prolonged firmware updates or when the device disappears from the app.
When you factory reset a View monitor, it clears any Bluetooth bonds or WiFi networks it had previously. If you do nothing in the app after you perform a factory reset, you will notice that the View monitor stops updating and indicates it has no connection.
To perform a factory reset, press and hold the reset button on the back of the monitor for about 5–6 seconds until a countdown appears on the display.
You will need to
unpair the monitor from your account by selecting "unpair monitor" in the Device settings.
'forget' or unpair the View monitor from your phone's Bluetooth settings.
Additionally, ensure you navigate to Device settings → Unpair monitor in the Airthings app to remove the device from your account.
Once you have successfully unpaired the monitor from your account and phone's Bluetooth settings, you will be able pair with the monitor again from your app and set it up freshly again.
Note that re-pairing the device will start a new measurement segment, so previous data will not be linked.
