The sensors that are ready to go 🎉
When you first set up View Plus, the following sensors do not require any calibration:
7-day Calibration for VOC and CO2:
The CO2 and VOC sensors need 7 days to calibrate and gather enough data in order to adjust properly to their environment. Therefore, the readings within the first 7 days are not considered to be actionable readings.
It is important they are exposed to fresh air at least once a week in order for them to adjust to the correct baseline. You can do this by simply opening a window and allowing the room to ventilate for a while. This should occur naturally when you notice levels rising and ventilate to improve the air quality.
We advise you to measure for at least 30 days, and ideally several months, before deciding whether any mitigation action is necessary. The radon sensor collects hourly air samples and is designed for long-term measuring. This means the longer the measurement, the more data points, and the more accurate the long term average becomes. Read more here on how we measure radon and how to respond to your radon levels.
