The Wave comes with 2 x AA batteries and is designed to have an expected battery life of 1 - 1.5 years. When the batteries die, simply replace them with good alkaline batteries and keep monitoring!
Unless it is operated in an unconventional way, our Airthings Wave has an expected lifetime of many years, just like a normal smoke or CO detector.
