So, what exactly does it measure?

The Wave Plus measures 6 important aspects of your air in your environment:

A harmful, odourless, and carcinogenic, natural gas that is released from the ground - leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers.

VOC stands for "Volatile Organic Compounds"
Examples of VOCs include: chemical gases released from cleaning products, burning candles, cooking and even people.

Carbon dioxide - what causes that "stuffy" feeling in a room, along with headaches, lethargy, restlessness and can affect decision-making capabilities

Monitor the temperature for optimum comfort level.

Humidity refers to how dry your air is, or how much water is in the air - monitoring can help prevent mold, damage to your belongings, dry skin and allergies. Keeping your humidity levels between 30% - 60% is advised for optimal health and well-being.

Drastic changes in air pressure can cause headaches/migraines. There is also a high correlation between weather/pressure changes and how radon enters your home.

Airthings Wave Plus includes a free app (iOS/Android) and an online dashboard with advanced analytics options. See here for more information on the Wave Plus or contact us here.
