Understanding your sensor tiles

Airthings app 7.1.0, released in July 2025, brought a big update to the Devices page.

Updated over a week ago

As part of our latest app release (7.1.0), you may have noticed that your app's home screen looks a bit different. We have introduced sensor tiles for each device, giving you a more visual snapshot of your air quality.

So what do these tiles show?

  • RADON AVERAGES - If your monitor measures radon, you will see two radon tiles; one that shows your long-term average (up to the last 365 days) along with a rating of Good, Fair or Poor. The other tile shows your short-term, 24-hour average along with a rating for that average and a sparkline. Comparing these helps you understand the overall health risk and recent trends. Learn more in this article.

  • CURRENT VALUES - The rest of the sensor tiles (CO2, PM, VOC, etc.) show the current measurement along with a a label of Good, Fair or Poor depending on where that measurement falls in the sensor's scale,

  • SPARKLINES - The sparklines that plots the trend over the last 24 hours giving you a quick preview of the recent trend. The dot at the end of the sparkline represents your current measurement.
There are two exceptions: 24-hour sparklines are not relevant to either the long-term radon average or mold risk. Neither are likely to demonstrate significant changes over such short terms. That said, a line is shown for Mold risk to complement the risk level and rating as Good, Fair or Poor.

  • GRAPHS - Tap on any tile to open its graph where you can browse the history or readings.
